Self-Healing Target with Sight-In A-ZONE
The Self-Healing Target with Sight-In A-ZONE is an approximately 18 × 30-inch reusable shooting target made from 3/4-inch recycled vulcanized rubber. It adds a built-in sight-in pattern directly to the center A-ZONE, providing easy visual reference points for sighting in a firearm optic.
Unlike painted or printed aiming marks, the sight-in pattern is cut directly into the rubber. The center provides a 1-inch box aiming point, surrounded by 2-inch and 3-inch boxes. These known dimensions give the shooter convenient visual references for estimating adjustments while sighting in an optic.
Because the sight-in markings are incorporated into the rubber rather than simply painted onto its surface, the pattern remains available as the target is used and repainted.
The rubber target material has been tested by Utah Backyard Ballistics with:
- .22 LR
- 9mm
- 5.56/.223
- .300 Blackout
- 6.5 Creedmoor
- Archery arrows and crossbow bolts
For firearm use, FMJ ammunition is recommended. Hollow-point and other expanding or more destructive projectile designs can cause significantly more damage to the rubber and may shorten target life.
